36 Days of Type: Guest Artist

It feels strange to say “Look at my 5!” during a pandemic that’s sweeping the globe, people are dying, healthcare and essential workers sacrificing their safety to save lives and keep us fed, and the rest of us losing our jobs or gigs we need to survive. But working on this animation this week was a welcome distraction back to a world where deadlines exist and meaningless art could be made for the sake of practice and enjoyment. And I really needed that. So I’m so incredibly grateful for the privilege I have to stay at home and to @36daysoftype for including me in their *5 women for 5* feature today, giving me a reason to dive into a hand drawn world that’s not our own in this weird time.
