I displayed the resulting series in a small, intimate gallery setting on Valentine’s Day 2013 (for extra irony) accompanied by a playlist of late 50’s/ early 60’s love songs (for extra cheesiness).

On Instagram, I've started a personal hashtag (#thoughtsofamendedbrokenheart) to give myself a platform in which I can share some of the thoughts/learned pieces of knowledge I've gained from being completely heartbroken, having 2 years and counting of being single, giving me enough time and space to myself to *really* grasp who I was, who I am, and who I want to be.
I don't watch sports. I have no idea who plays or why. And I don't care to know. Yet, I still find myself in social situations where I feel I have no choice but to watch.
So here's my attempt at getting at excited for it because, well, I have no choice.

This was born purely out of excitement of seeing one of my favorite bands for the first time.

Portage + Pine was a start-up attempt engaging consumers with local makers, retailers and services in hopes of stimulating the local economy and community through connecting consumers with each other and with the makers of their favorite products and experiences.
We're a collective of adventurists who create meaningful interactions with local makers.
Our goal at P+P is to create an engaging, compelling and relevant experience for both brands and adventurists alike. Success is not measured by profits, but by the impact we have on society and the environment.
Every year during the holidays Tartan Marketing makes a donation to a local charity. This past holiday season they chose Art Buddies – an organization dedicated to helping children from low-income families find their imagination and courage to pursue their dreams through creating art alongside a mentor.
Since the donation is given in the name of Tartan’s many clients they work for throughout the year, each receive a gift in light of the donation.
Because Tartan hopes to encourage their clients to pursue the same creativity and imagination ArtBuddies instills in their kids, a Moleskine notebook was designed around the idea of “Inspire”.

Bongards is a cooperative creamery owned by Minnesota farmers.
In June 2014, Bongards was looking to rebrand. Our creative team wanted to provide them with a wide variety of choices, so we delivered as traditional as contemporizing their current logo to this: a friendly and distinct hand-lettered approach to resemble melted cheese. Because this was such a stretch from where they currently stand, this proposal was not chosen for execution.

The Twin Cities are known for their diverse culture, beautiful landscapes, extensive trail systems, and vibrant arts communities.
To fully experience this, information on how and where to participate needs to be available. I believe not all of this information is accessible. And if it is, it's not easy to navigate.
VitaMN has been a great resource for most of this information in print and online. They have an extensive database on music venues and dining, news and events and curated content. But something they lack is a competitive and refined mobile experience. With everyone always on the go, this element is crucial to success.
Although they have a somewhat workable mobile site, I propose to build a mobile application to allow them to support the content they already provide, while giving them the opportunity to take on another level of content no other competitor has explored– Parks and Activities.
Through partnering with National Park Service and integrating Social Sharing & User Review platforms, I would incorporate these overlooked parks and outdoor activities into our hectic, digital culture in hopes that people will again find them relevant and enriching to their lives here in the Twin Cities.

They like rock music, beer, being manly... and they really like beards.
They asked for a flyer and a logo with a rushed timeline of three days. I gave it to them in three formats, on a t-shirt, and a finalized logo in just six hours. How's that for quick turn-around?
